Once you put the Ultimate Piece of Junk on your computer all you can do is Un-install it. So, I uninstalled it and bought the Pro Version again.
Downloaded and "Instantly" had computer problems. Since it was about to expire I figured I would try the Ultimate Defense. I call repeatedly and am promised a refund that never comes. They claim that the bank (who is actually the credit card co.) cancelled the services, but credit card companies don't do that. I have asked for a retroactive refund of those services because I can't use them. However, I can't access Tech Support or my Clean ID protection- family plan because they cancelled it and kept the fees. So far I did receive the $200 retroactive credit for the My Clean ID individual service. They retaliated by cancelling my Tech Support and my Clean ID, without refunding the money I paid. I finally filed a dispute with the credit card co. I waited for months and months, with them promising that it would come through soon, but it didn't. I already had the individual plan and the rep promised I would receive a retroactive credit. They cancelled my services and kept the moneyĮverything was going fine until iolo convinced me to upgrade to My Clean ID family coverage. Another warning, do not think PayPal is on your side, they are not, not only do they support the offending company but they refuse to give you a refund to.
Never purchase a product direct from Iolo, they are over charging you by a massive amount, cancel any recuring products that you have on your account and make sure all payment methods to this company are cancelled. Do not trust this company, not only do they overcharge you for their own products but they try to barter with you, lowering the price not taking no for an answer on till you tell them to stop wasting your time, I DO NOT WANT AND WILL NEVER WANT YOUR PRODUCT AGAIN, but still they take your money. I called Iolo and I was assured my renewal had been cancelled and yet nearly one month later I am yet to receive a refund. The renewal was taken from my PayPal account and PayPal are refusing to give me a refund for software that I not only do not want, do not use and never will again. I went in to my account and cancelled the renewal but Iolo took the money anyway two weeks later. Around two months ago I was informed by Iolo that they would be charging me almost £80 for software that I can get for just £25 off other sites. I used system mechanic for a long time till they started introducing many versions the worst of which is the all bells and whistles, Ultimate defence which made not only my laptop unusable but also my main pc. Recuring product cancelation but take your money anyway.
